To update your firmware manually you need to download the firmware file from the MiniFreak “Resources” page.The progress bar at the bottom will show you where the update is currently at. MiniFreak V is able to download the Firmware directly from the Arturia’s servers, and to install it directly into your unit.I upgraded to a 16' Macbook M1 Max w/Monterey and it still works fine. I ran into a little problem with the midi mapping to my Novation LaunchKey MK3, but otherwise no issues. If your MiniFreak Firmware is not up-to-date, the MiniFreak V will warn you by opening a “Firmware Update” popup. I was running Arturia Analog LAB Intro (free) on my 2014 MacBook Pro with Logic X 10.7 and Big Sur and it worked fine. If you don’t see a button : Make sure that your MiniFreak is powered up and is connected through USB cable to your computer.If you see a white button named “Link to MiniFreak” : Click on the button, and wait for the “Linked to MiniFreak” orange button to appear.If you see an orange button “Linked to MiniFreak” : Your unit is synced to the MiniFreak V.To find out, look on the right of the preset top toolbar : Once this is done, launch your MiniFreak V software and make sure that your MiniFreak is linked to your computer. If MiniFreak V is not up to date, you will miss on some features from the new firmware.īefore updating the MiniFreak Firmware, please connect your unit using the USB cable. To do so, open the ASC and update the MiniFreak V. Before upgrading your firmware, make sure your MiniFreak V is up to date.
